DrivenByQ was founded in 2005 by Ray Squire. Offering executive airport transfers, we started out with a Volvo S80 saloon car. DrivenByQ soon found its niche as a business travel specialist. At the time, there was a distinct lack of professional service for business passengers in the Wrexham area.
As corporate customers adopted DrivenByQ, we incorporated in 2007 as Driven by Q Limited and we registered for VAT. This declared a business-to-business focus. Our growing team then introduced a 24-hour Duty Manager system and greater customer support.
Defining A New Way
In 2005 taxi companies and other providers were still using fax machines. In contrast, DrivenByQ embraced email. From that moment, ‘technology for competitive advantage’ became a core value. We then introduced online booking and in 2009 built a bespoke ‘cloud’ system – one of the first in the world.
Focus On Growth
Not content to stand still, DrivenByQ attracted its first corporate customer on Deeside Industrial Park in 2012. Our growth has continued and we now supply one of the largest fleets of Mercedes-Benz cars and people carriers in the region. We also have BMW saloon cars among others.
In 2015 DrivenByQ employed its first member of staff on PAYE to help with administration and reservations. In addition to online booking, we offer better telephone support than any rival.
Improving Quality
As a market leader in corporate travel, DrivenByQ purchased its first brand new vehicle in 2018. These are driven by full-time, employed team members. At the same time, we witnessed greater investment in vehicles from our network of trusted sub-contractors.
Through outstanding customer service we have grown from a single one-man-band operation to a fleet of modern high-class, luxury vehicles. DrivenByQ now supply executive cars for Deeside Industrial Park, Chester Business Park and Wrexham Industrial Estate.
Licensed and Secure
DrivenByQ are licensed for private hire. All drivers undergo an enhanced DBS (police) check, a group two medical and training. In 2019, the first of our team underwent advanced driver training and achieved RoSPA (Gold) standard. Some drivers are also members of the Guild of Professional Chauffeurs.
As a business travel specialist, many of our executive vehicles are exempt from displaying (private hire / taxi) plates. This ensures greater discretion, along with privacy glass for that extra confidentiality in VIP travel or executive airport transfers.
Going Further
Despite our local area being classed as north east Wales, we have regular customers from as far afield as Anglesey all the way to Derby. We supply executive airport transfers to and from all major UK airports including Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, East Midlands and London Heathrow.
